NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday expressed his gratitude to the people of India for their unwavering support throughout the Lok Sabha elections and acknowledged the strength he derived from the widespread adoption of ‘Modi Ka Parivar‘ on social media platforms. Having successfully conveyed the message of unity and oneness, Prime Minister Modi requested the citizens to remove the ‘Modi Ka Parivar’ suffix from their social media profiles.
“With the message of all of us being one family having been effectively conveyed, I would once again thank the people of India and request that you may now remove ‘Modi Ka Parivar’ from your social media properties,” the PM said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
The ‘Modi Ka Parivar’ campaign gained significant momentum following the Prime Minister’s assertion at a public rally in Telangana, where he stated that 140 crore Indians are his family. This statement served as a powerful response to RJD chief Lalu Prasad’s remark during an opposition rally in Patna, where he took a jibe at Modi for having no family.
PM Modi in his post emphasised the historic mandate given to the NDA for the third consecutive time, reflecting the trust placed in his government to continue working towards the nation’s progress.
He said that while the display name may change, the strong and unbreakable bond between him and the citizens, as one family striving for India’s progress, remains intact.

Top BJP leaders, including home minister Amit Shah, defence minister Rajnath Singh, and BJP President JP Nadda, rallied behind the Prime Minister by adding ‘Modi Ka Parivar’ to their social media profiles.
BJP chief ministers were among the party’s senior leaders, besides its numerous other functionaries also joined the campaign. Many Modi-supporting social media users also made the same change on their pages.
