UGC NET City Slip for June 2024 Out: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the exam city intimation slip for the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) scheduled for June 2024. Candidates can now download their exam city slips from the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in. This release marks a significant step in the examination process, providing candidates with crucial information about the location of their examination centers.The UGC NET Admit Card 2024 will be available on 15 June 2024, and the exam will take place on 18 June 2024.
According to the official public notice issued on 7 June 2024, the UGC NET exam will cover 83 subjects and will be held at various centers across the country. Candidates are instructed to download their Examination City Intimation Slip using their Application Number and Date of Birth from the official website starting from 7 June 2024. It is crucial to note that this slip is not the Admit Card but rather advance information about the city in which the examination center is located.

UGC NET June 2024 Exam Schedule and Format
The UGC NET June 2024 written exam is set to be conducted on 18 June 2024, in an OMR (Pen and Paper) format. The examination will be divided into two shifts: the first shift from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and the second shift from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This format ensures that all candidates have ample time to complete their respective papers.
Exam Format Summary
• Mode of Exam: OMR Based (fill in circles on a sheet)
• Number of Papers: Two (conducted consecutively without a break)
Paper I
• Marks: 100
• Number of Questions: 50
• Content: Focuses on teaching and research aptitude, reasoning, comprehension, thinking skills, and general awareness.
Paper II
• Marks: 200
• Number of Questions: 100
• Content: Subject-specific questions based on the candidate’s chosen field.
The exam will be available in English and Hindi, except for language-specific papers. Candidates should select their preferred language during the application process, as it cannot be changed later.
Marking Scheme
• Each question is worth 2 marks.
• Correct answers receive 2 marks each.
• There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
• Unanswered or unmarked questions receive 0 marks.
• In the case of incorrect or ambiguous questions that have been attempted correctly, marks will be awarded.
• For incorrect or dropped questions, candidates who attempted the question will receive +2 marks.
The UGC NET exam is a pivotal test for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the award of Junior Research Fellowship, appointment as Assistant Professor, and admission to Ph.D. programs in Indian universities and colleges.
