‘Will he ever leak pe speak?’: Congress slams PM Modi over alleged NEET paper leak | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The political fallout over the alleged paper leak in the NEET-UG exams continues with Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh on Thursday critiseing the Centre saying that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi holds his “Pareeksha pe Charcha” event annually his government “cannot even conduct an examination without leaks and frauds.”
Ramesh pointed out two specific instances: the NEET UG 2024 Examination, which faces serious questions acknowledged by the Education Minister, and the cancellation of the UGC-NET examination just a day after it was conducted.Ramesh expressed doubts about the integrity of the National Testing Agency (NTA).
“NEET UG 2024 Examination faces very serious questions that even the Education Minister has been forced to acknowledge. The integrity of the National Testing Agency (NTA) is under severe doubt,” the Congress general secretary said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Ramesh also questionedthe Prime Minister’s educational background, referring to him as the “MA in Entire Political Science,” and challenging him to address the issue of leaks in examinations, saying “Will he ever ‘leak pe speak?’”

The ministry of education has sought a detailed report from the Economic Offences Unit of the Bihar Police regarding the alleged irregularities in the NEET(UG) examination-2024 held in Patna. The ministry reiterated its stance on taking strict action against any individual or organization found to be involved in the matter.
The Supreme Court also instructed the Centre and NTA to thoroughly investigate and deal with any negligence in the conduct of the NEET-UG, 2024 exam. Several petitions have been filed in the apex court, seeking a recall of the NEET-UG 2024 results and a fresh examination due to allegations of paper leakage, malpractices, and anomalies in the question paper.
