Delhi BJP chief Virender Sachdeva has alleged irregularities in power distribution companies (discoms) BSES, NDPL and BYPL. He said the Delhi government holds a 49 per cent stake in these companies, but allegations suggest that two of them, BSES and BYPL, have accumulated huge losses while NDPL operates profitably. Mr Sachdeva alleged this disparity raises questions, especially since all the three discoms sell electricity at the same rate, source electricity from the same suppliers, and use the same Transco wire network.
