Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya has written to President Droupadi Murmu over the Supreme Court’s decision to terminate nearly 26,000 teachers in West Bengal, urging her intervention to save the teachers. A section of the West Bengal schoolteachers who lost their jobs when the Supreme Court upheld the invalidation of 25,753 teacher appointments over irregularities in the recruitment process is planning to file a review petition as well as to meet President Droupadi Murmu with an appeal for reinstatement.
