18 Killed In Serial Suicide Bomb Blast In Northeast Nigeria

At least 18 people were killed and 30 were injured in a series of deadly blasts in northeast Nigeria's Borno state, said the officials. One of the suspected bombings killed six people and wounded others during a wedding ceremony on Saturday.  According to the state's emergency management agency, the suspected suicide bombers attacked a wedding, funeral, and a hospital in the town of Gowza, reported BBC.  The state of Borno has been at the centre of a 15-year insurgency by Boko Haram Islamist militants, resulting in the displacement of over two million people and the killing of more than 40,000. NEW DELHI: A 13-year-old boy was arrested on Sunday for allegedly sending an email to the Delhi Airport falsely claiming that a bomb had been planted in the Dubai-bound flight. The boy had sent the mail "just for fun" after being influenced by the news of another teenager who made a hoax bomb threat call a few days ago, deputy commissioner of police (IGI Airport) Usha Rangnani told news agency PTI.The airport DCP was referring to another incident that occurred this month when some other 13-year-old boy had allegedly sent a hoax email claiming a bomb was on a Toronto-bound Air Canada flight from Delhi.
