
A 17-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed to death in South East Delhi’s Govindpuri area Saturday night by three other minor boys. The police said they apprehended the three accused, all aged 16.
According to the police, an incident of stabbing was reported around 10 pm Saturday. The caller informed authorities that his nephew had been stabbed and later succumbed to injuries. The deceased was identified as Krish, whose father is a construction labourer in Kerala and whose mother works as a housemaid in the Govindpuri area.
The police launched a probe and apprehended the three minors. “The accused juveniles disclosed that the deceased was their school senior. They had a rivalry over minor issues, and he had allegedly physically assaulted them multiple times. They claimed that he threatened them that he would harm them and their families.” said Ravi Kumar Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South East.
The DCP said the accused called the victim on the pretext of settling the issue before attacking him. One of the accused choked him while the other two kept stabbing him simultaneously with two different knives on his neck and stomach until he collapsed, he added
The police have recovered the two knives used in the commission of crime.
