Delhi Police arrested him on Saturday, around two years after he allegedly orchestrated an extortion attempt on a businessman in the capital. A 17-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed to death in South East Delhi’s Govindpuri area Saturday night by three other minor boys. The police said they apprehended the three accused, all aged 16. According to the police, an incident of stabbing was reported around 10 pm Saturday. The caller informed authorities that his nephew had been stabbed and later succumbed to injuries. The deceased was identified as Krish, whose father is a construction labourer in Kerala and whose mother works as a housemaid in the Govindpuri area. The Delhi Police will begin proceedings to have Dubai-based Indian businessman and alleged drug kingpin Virendra Basoiya declared a proclaimed offender (PO) by a court. He is accused of running a cartel that smuggled 1,289 kg of cocaine into India, according to an official from the Special Cell of the Delhi Police. At least four more accused named in the case will also have PO declaration proceedings initiated against them, with some of them in direct touch with Basoiya, the officer said.
