Multiple Lashkar-e-Taiba or Jaish-e-Muhammad militants are believed to be trapped as security forces continued an anti-terror operation in the Panipora Sopore area of Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir. The anti-terror operation started on Thursday after militants launched an attack on security forces during a search op.
The development comes after two Village Defence Group (VDG) members, identified as Nazir Ahmad and Kuldip Kumar, were kidnapped and killed by terrorists in a forest area of Kishtwar. The bodies of the victims are yet to be recovered, and a massive search operation has been launched by security forces.
