Tamannaah Bhatia recalls fan's REACTION to her performance in 'Kaavaalaa' song: 'You were so big and fat...'

Tamannaah Bhatia, who recently starred in Neeraj Pandey’s thriller Sikandar Ka Muqaddar, has been actively promoting her film. During her promotions, she shared her thoughts on unrealistic beauty standards for women.
The actress also recalled a touching moment after her song Kaavaalaa from Jailer became popular, when a woman at a party thanked her for making curvy women feel seen and accepted.
In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Tamannaah shared a memorable encounter where a fan thanked her for representing curvy women. The fan expressed gratitude, saying that Tamannaah’s confidence and enjoyment in her Kaavaalaa song made them feel accepted. Tamannaah admitted that at the time, she didn’t realise the fan considered her “fat.”She further reflected on how her own perception of beauty was shaped by her experiences as an actor, where she had to focus on her body. However, she now recognises that today’s young women face immense pressure due to social media, where everyone is constantly posting pictures and comparing themselves.

In another interview with SCREEN, Tamannaah shared her thoughts on changing the mindset in the film industry. The actress, who has become a pan-India star through her hard work and dedication, emphasised that one of the biggest mistakes women make is defining themselves by gender.
She believes that by labeling themselves as women, they unintentionally create a sense of inequality. Tamannaah stressed the importance of seeing themselves as people, equal to everyone else, and how this shift in perspective can inspire change in all industries.
