Mumbai: Former Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray has claimed that the Eknath Shinde-led Mahayuti government’s Ladki Bahin scheme won’t have any impact on the state assembly elections Wednesday, saying the scheme was more about an “owner-slave” relation with the state’s women voters rather than a “brother-sister”’ bond. NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar's bags were checked in Maharashtra's Pune district on Sunday morning, his associate said, just days ahead of the November 20 elections in the state. Pawar was on way to attend a poll rally in Solapur when his bags were checked at Baramati helipad. The model of code of conduct is enforced in the state for the assembly elections.
