Syria Rebels Name Mohammed al-Bashir Head Of Transitional Government: Report

Syrian rebels have named Mohammed al-Bashir head of transitional govt, news agency AFP reported citing local media. In a televised address, Al-Bashir announced that he will remain on the position until 1 March to lead the transition government. "The general command has tasked us with running the transitional government until March 1," said a statement attributed to Bashir on state television's Telegram account, referring to him as "the new Syrian prime minister".
