Police in Switzerland have arrested four people after a woman died by suicide for the first time in the controversial futuristic-looking 'Sarco suicide pod' on Monday. According to a Reuters report, authorities in the northern region of Schaffhausen, near the German border, said the capsule was used in a wooded hut in the municipality of Merishausen. Prosecutors in Schaffhausen have launched criminal proceedings against multiple individuals for "inducing and aiding and abetting suicide", Reuters cited a police statement as saying. Ex-Miss Switzerland Finalist Murdered By Husband, Body Parts ‘Pureed’, Dissolved In Acid

A former Miss Switzerland finalist, Kristina Joksimovic, was allegedly strangled, dismembered, and then “pureed” in a blender by her husband in Binningen, near Basel, Switzerland. Later, the 38-year-old dismembered body was dissolved in acid to cover the crime. The horrific murder was uncovered in February when dismembered remains of Joksimovic were found. Investigators quickly concluded that she had been strangled before being mutilated. Her husband, identified as "Thomas" in the media, has confessed to the killing. According to Swiss news outlet FM1 Today, Thomas used a jigsaw, knife, and garden shears to chop up his wife's body, then attempted to dissolve her remains in a chemical solution. India-China have made progress on border disengagement, says Jaishankar. ‘75%’ issues resolved

New Delhi: India and China have made progress in talks on border disengagement, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said in Geneva Thursday, adding that nearly 75 percent of the problems had been worked out. The minister said the two countries have negotiated for the last four years in the aftermath of the June 2020 clashes in the Galwan Valley that killed 20 Indian troops. New Delhi, Sep 7 (PTI) External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will on Sunday embark on a six-day visit to Saudi Arabia, Germany and Switzerland with a larger aim to boost overall bilateral ties and deliberate on pressing regional and global challenges. He will first travel to the Saudi capital Riyadh on a two-day trip primarily to attend the first India-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) foreign ministers' meeting, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The GCC is an influential grouping comprising the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait. The total volume of India's trade with GCC countries stood at USD 184.46 billion in the financial year 2022-23.
