NEW DELHI: India on Wednesday abstained in the UN General Assembly on a resolution demanding that Israel end its unlawful presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory within 12 months, "without delay".The 193-member General Assembly adopted the resolution with overwhelming support, as 124 nations voted in favour, 14 against and 43, including India, abstained.The vote came in the middle of the 10th emergency special session considering Israeli actions in occupied East Jerusalem and the rest of the Occupied Palestinian Territory.Those abstaining included Australia, Canada, Germany, Italy, Nepal, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
