MS Dhoni becomes CSK’s highest scorer of all time in defeat to RCB

Mahendra Singh Dhoni lit up the final over of Chennai Super Kings’ 50-run defeat to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Friday at the Chepauk by hitting Krunal Pandya for two sixes and a four in an Indian Premier League clash. The last-over fireworks did little for the Chennai Super Kings, but for Dhoni, they propelled him past Suresh Raina as the top scorer for the CSK franchise. Raina was Chennai team’s long-standing record run-scorer with 4,687 runs to his name. To become Chennai Super Kings’ all-time leading run scorer in IPL history, Dhoni just needed 19 runs in the IPL 2025 match against RCB.
