(Representational Image/File)Mumbai News Today Live Updates: The Mumbai Water Tanker Association (MWTA) on Thursday decided to suspend the water supply to Mumbai indefinitely to protest amid a dispute with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) over their notices to the owners of private wells which supply water to the tankers. The MWTA owns over 1800 water tankers that can store up to 500-20,000 litres. The association supplies around 350 MLD water to different parts of the city, including the upscale south Mumbai. Amid the dispute with BMC, the water tanker body has taken an “indefinite break” and suspended their operations for an indefinite period.
