“Dispute over payment” with someone he met through a gay dating app led to the murder of a 22-year-old house help in the Charu Market area of Kolkata, police said on Monday after arresting a 30-year-old man from Baruipur in South 24 Parganas district. Saddam Alam, 30, had met 22-year-old Abinash Bauri, a resident of Barakar in Asansol, through Grindr, a gay dating app, said police. “The accused, Alam, came to the location sent to him by Bauri. Alam was received by Bauri, who took him to his rented flat. As per the statement of Alam, there was some dispute over payment.
