Mumbai University’s JBIMS to be granted independent university status soon
Mumbai University’s Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS) will soon be granted independent university status. Indian businessman Ajay Piramal, who is also an alumnus of JBIMS, will head the committee to decide the roadmap ahead which entails examining the potential to make it operational from the academic year 2025-26, starting in June.
Maharashtra’s Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil made the announcement on Saturday. He was speaking as chief guest during the inaugural function of diamond jubilee celebrations of JBIMS held at Sir Cowasjee Jehangir Convocation Hall of Mumbai University.
