ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup 2025: The second edition of the Women’s U19 World Cup will begin in Malaysia on January 18, Saturday, with 16 teams in contention.
The tournament will mark the second edition of the women’s age-group tournament, following the men’s Under 19 World Cup that was established in 1988. Unlike the men’s tournament, the women’s event is held in the T20 format. India, who recently lifted the inaugural U19 Women’s Asia Cup, are the defending champions of the World Cup held in 2023. Led by senior team batter Shafali Verma, India trounced England to lifted the maiden title in South Africa. The team had also comprised current India stars Richa Ghosh and Titas Sadhu in the winning XI.
