Former AAP minister Kailash Gahlot joins BJP, says decision not taken under ED, CBI pressure
New Delhi: Former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi’s former transport minister Kailash Gahlot, who joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Monday, said he had not taken the decision under any “pressure” due to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as claimed by the AAP leaders.
BJP leaders claim that Gahlot’s entry into the party is “only the beginning” and many more AAP leaders are in touch with the BJP leadership.
AAP’s former councillor from North West Delhi’s Bankner, Ram Narayan Bhardwaj, joined the BJP last week. Senior West Delhi politician Harsharan Singh Balli also returned to the BJP after four years in the AAP last week. In August, five AAP councillors had joined the BJP.
