Terminal 2 at Delhi’s IGI Airport shuts down for maintenance, all flights shift to Terminal 1; details here
Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) Tuesday shifted all flights operating out of Terminal 2, which is temporarily shut down for maintenance to increase passenger capacity, to Terminal 1.
IndiGo and Akasa Air, the two airlines operating out of Terminal 2, have notified passengers about the reassignment of flights via email, WhatsApp, and their websites. Approximately 270 flights and 50,000 passengers arriving and departing daily from Terminal 2 have been shifted to the newly operational Terminal 1 since Tuesday morning.
As per Flightradar24, a live flight tracking website, 86 (or 13 per cent) flights were delayed at the IGI Airport, as of 11 am Thursday.
