After Sangma’s NPP pulls support from Biren govt in Manipur, BJP dares it to do the same in Meghalaya

New Delhi: Days after the National People’s Party (NPP) withdrew its support from the N. Biren Singh government in Manipur, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) challenged the Conrad Sangma-led NPP to end their alliance in Meghalaya. The BJP accused the NPP of staying in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) only to secure central funds. Speaking to ThePrint, Meghalaya BJP Vice-President Bernard N. Imphal: Seven MLAs of the National People’s Party (NPP) have withdrawn support to the N. Biren Singh-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Manipur citing the volatile situation in the state and the failure of the government machinery to resolve the crisis. On Sunday, Meghalaya Chief Minister and NPP national president Conrad Sangma wrote a letter to BJP national president J.P.
