Boxer Jaismine Lamboria is remodelling her game plan after returning without a medal at the Asian Games and following a first round exit at the Paris Olympics.The evidence of change was visible when Jaismine came out charging against Hannah Joy of Tamil Nadu in the quarter-finals (57kg) at the ongoing Women’s Boxing Nationals in Greater Noida. Boxing Nationals: After losing CWG, Asiad trials, Minakshi stuns World Champion Nitu Ghanghas

24-year-old Minakshi sized up 2023 World Championship gold medallist Nitu Ghanghas for more than a minute in the first round of the 48kg quarter-finals at the ongoing Women’s Boxing Nationals in Greater Noida. Minakshi had lost to Nitu twice before – once in the Commonwealth Games trial in 2022 and then for the Asian Games trials in 2023. This time though, things would be different. As Nitu started attacking, Minakshi followed the plan set by her coach Vijay Hooda to counter her by moving sideways and then landing her shots. She moved away from Nitu’s punches and landed two clean jabs in return.
