Bengaluru: A woman on Wednesday was allegedly harassed and physically assaulted by an auto driver in Bengaluru after she cancelled the ride and opted for another auto. The driver was furious due to the ride cancellation and got into a heated argument with the woman. As the situation escalated, he ended up slapping her in front of the other auto driver. The video of the incident, which the woman recorded on her phone, has gone viral on social media. Leopard spotted on Bengaluru outskirts

A leopard was spotted by residents of BSR Layout in Kyalasanahalli near Jigani early on SundayResidents of the area have reportedly captured CCTV camera footage of the leopard walking around in the locality, which is near the Bannerghatta National Park. Residents alerted the local police about the presence of the leopard in their area and they along with forest officials conducted a search for the big cat. However they could not trace it. Last year, there were many instances of leopards being spotted in and around the city.On November 1, 2023, a feline on the prowl for five days was shot by officials while attempting to capture it, after the animal attacked an official. Railway Minister Unveils Prototype Of Vande Bharat Sleeper Coach: Video

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw unveiled the prototype version of the Vande Bharat sleeper coach at the BEML's facility in Bengaluru. The new coachs will undergo rigorous trials and tests for the next ten days before rolling it out on the track for further testing, Vaishnaw told reporters. The train is expected to be open for passenger operation in the next three months. A video of the new Vande Bharat sleeper train shows the coaches designed for overnight journeys covering 800 km to 1,200 km. The enhanced features include improved oxygen levels and virus protection. PM Modi To Fag Off 3 New Vande Bharat Express Trains Today: Check Routes

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday will virtually flag off three new Vande Bharat trains as part of the ‘Make in India’ and 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' visions. The state-of-the-art Vande Bharat Express trains will improve the connectivity on three routes -- Meerut-Lucknow; Madurai-Bengaluru; and Chennai-Nagercoil, according to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). As per the Ministry, the Meerut City-Lucknow Vande Bharat will help passengers save around one hour in comparison to the current fastest train between the two cities. Likewise, the Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil and Madurai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat trains will cover the journey saving more than two hours and around 90 minutes, respectively, it said. Burglars targeted multiple parked cars on a bustling street, using a specialized tool to steal laptops and other valuables in Bengaluru's Indiranagar area. The incident took place around 7:30 p.m. on August 22 in busy Indira Nagar Main 100ft road, near Global Desi and Westside stores. The thieves managed to break the windows of four cars, swiftly snatching three bags containing laptops and other items of value.
