Elon Musk owned microblogging platform X has now named a legal representative in Brazil to abide by the orders of the Brazilian Supreme Court. The lawyers representing X on Friday said that the company has made this move to address one of the demands that were imposed by the apex court of Brazil for X continuing to operate in the nation. X appointed lawyers in Brazil, Andre Zonaro and Sergio Rosenthal, told news agency Reuters that colleague Rachel de Oliveira Conceicao was chosen as the legal representative of the firm. The lawyers added that they had submitted her name to the Supreme Court. X Ban In Brazil: Starlink Blocks Access To Elon Musk-Owned Social Media Platform In Compliance

X has been facing quite a lot of heat in Brazil due to the orders of the authorities. Brazilian Supreme Court ordered a ban on X in the country till it follows the orders issued by the court. Elon Musk opposed it quite vocally through his tweets. Elon Musk Must Respect Supreme Court’s Rulings: Brazilian President On X Ban In Brazil

Elon Musk owned X has been asked to shut its operations in Brazil following Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes order as X failed to appoint a legal representative in the country by the deadline. Now, the Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has said that Musk must respect the rulings of the country’s Supreme Court. Loca told a radio station, “Each and every citizen from any part of the world that has an investment in Brazil is subject to the Brazilian Constitution and Brazilian laws.” The Brazilian President added, “Just because a guy has a lot of money doesn’t mean he can disrespect (the law).” Notably the same leftist leader was labelled as Moraes' 'lapdog' by Musk just a few days back on X.
