On his IPL 2025 debut for Lucknow Super Giants, captain Rishabh Pant recorded a six-ball duck against his former team, Delhi Capitals, on Monday at the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Vizag on Monday.
Pant holed out to long-off with a miscued hit against his India teammate Kuldeep Yadav’s bowling.
The 27-year-old was signed up by Lucknow for a staggering Rs 27 crore at the IPL Mega Auction in November in Jeddah. The staggering bid had made him the most expensive player signing in IPL history.
Pant made his IPL debut with the Capitals in 2016 and had amassed over 3200 runs in 112 appearances for the franchise.
