‘She Keeps Saying Too Many Things’: BJP Leader On Kangana’s ‘Bring Back 3 Farm Laws’ Remark

READ ON SOCIAL MEDIA TOO

After BJP Mandi MP Kangana Ranaut demanded that the controversial three farms be brought back, BJP has distanced itself from the remarks. BJP said the actress-politician is not authorised to make such a statement on behalf of the party.

“On the social media platforms, BJP MP Kangana Ranaut’s statement on the farm bills that was withdrawn by the central government, is going viral. I want to make it clear that this statement is a personal statement of her. Kangana Ranaut is not authorised to make such a statement on behalf of BJP, and it doesn’t depict BJP’s view on the farm bills. We condemn this statement,” BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said.

Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli said the party had nothing to do with what Kangana Ranaut. He said, “She keeps saying too many things. But what she says doesn’t become the BJP’s stand.”

While talking to reporters in her constituency, Kangana said, “This could be controversial, but I feel the pro-farmers’ laws should be enforced again. In fact, farmers should themselves demand that the laws be brought back. This would ensure there is no hindrance in the development of farmers.”

She further said that farmers in only a few states had protested and urged them to demand for the laws to be brought back.

This is the second time the first-time MP was pulled up by the party for making provocative remarks on the protest. In August, the party had distanced itself from her comments about the 2020-21 farmers’ protests, and asked her not to speak out of turn.

Thousands of farmers from Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and other places had held a protest at Delhi’s borders for several months over the now-repealed farm laws.

BJP president and Union Health Minister JP Nadda also met her at his residence in Delhi and she was told not to make such comments. She was also asked to be careful about what she says in public while promoting her upcoming movie ‘Emergency’.
