The much-awaited sequel Pushpa: The Rule will hit theatres on December 5. Advance bookings have started in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chandigarh, but haven’t begun yet in Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kochi. In Delhi, ticket prices go up to Rs 1,800, while in Mumbai and Bengaluru, the highest ticket prices are Rs 1,600 and Rs 1,000, respectively.
In a special gesture, the Telangana government has approved a screening of Pushpa: The Rule on December 4, a day before its official release. The special show, available in both single-screen theatres and multiplexes, will begin at 9:30 pm. Theatre owners are permitted to increase ticket prices by Rs 800 for this exclusive screening.
On the film’s release day, the Telangana government has approved two extra screenings at 1 am and 4 am, in addition to the five regular shows. For these additional screenings, single-screen theatres are allowed to raise ticket prices by Rs 150 until December 8. From December 9 to 16, the price hike will be reduced to Rs 105, and from December 17 to 23, it can increase by Rs 20. After December 23, ticket prices will return to normal rates, according to a report in Indian Express.
For multiplexes, ticket prices can be increased by Rs 200 from December 5 to 8. From December 9 to 16, the hike will be reduced to Rs 150, and from December 17 to 23, the increase can be up to Rs 50. These price hikes do not include GST.
Pushpa 2: The Rule will see Allu Arjun reprise his iconic role as Pushpa Raj, with Rashmika Mandanna returning as Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil once again playing the powerful cop Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, Pushpa’s biggest enemy. The sequel is set to explore the world created in Pushpa: The Rise, heightening the drama and action that captivated global audiences.
