The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in Odisha has announced the date sheet for the 2025 Class 12 Board Examinations. According to the schedule, the CHSE Odisha Board Examinations for the Science stream will commence on February 18, 2025, while the Arts and Commerce streams will begin on February 19, 2025. A total of 3,91,809 students are expected to appear for the examinations this year. In addition to the regular exams, the vocational studies exams will also begin on February 20. All exams are scheduled to conclude on March 27, 2025, as per the official notification shared by the board.
The official notification mentions that the examination for internal assessments and projects, including both practical and theory components, will proceed as per the scheduled programme, even if any of the exam dates are later declared as holidays. Candidates are strongly advised to arrive at the examination center at least 30 minutes before the exam begins. They should enter the examination room or hall no later than 15 minutes prior to the start of the exam to ensure they have enough time to occupy their assigned seats.
CHSE will hold the internal assessments from December 23 to December 30. The practical examinations are scheduled to take place from January 2 to January 12.

CHSE Odisha Class 12 Important Information about Exams
For the project evaluation and viva voce in the Commerce stream, groups will be formed with a minimum of 24 students per group. The evaluation and viva voce for each group will be completed within two hours. This will be conducted solely by the respective subject teacher from the institution, and there will be no external examiner for this purpose.
The Biology examinations for the Science stream, covering Section A (Botany) and Section B (Zoology), will be held in a single session with a 20-minute gap in between. Candidates will first receive the Botany questions at 10:00 AM, followed by the Zoology paper at 11:50 AM, after collecting the answer booklets from the Botany section.
All regular candidates (registered in 2023) and ex-regular candidates (registered up to 2022) must appear for the 2025 examinations as per the syllabus and pattern outlined in the CHSE Notification No.-Aco/09/2024/1074 dated 20.08.2024. Students under Distance Education (OD) will appear for their exams in one sitting on the specified dates for the Arts and Commerce streams, with their respective subjects (papers) to follow.
