UGC NET Result June 2024 Out Shortly: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to announce the University Grants Commission – National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) 2024 results for the June session soon. The results will be available on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in. These results will be based on the final answer key, which has already been released. Earlier, the provisional answer key was published on September 9 and 11, with students given the opportunity to raise objections until September 14.
The UGC NET June 2024 result will cover a total of 83 subjects.The NET scores will be crucial for candidates aiming to secure the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), positions as assistant professors in Indian universities and colleges, or admission into PhD programs. With over 9 lakh candidates having appeared for the exam, there is significant anticipation for the results, and many students have voiced their concerns over the delay on social media.
UGC NET Result June 2024 Out Shortly: Percentile Score Calculation
For the UGC NET 2024 exam, the percentile scores will be calculated using a specific formula. The formula is: Percentile = 100 × (Number of candidates with equal or lower raw score / Total number of candidates in the session). These percentile scores will be computed up to seven decimal places to minimize the chances of ties between candidates and ensure fairness in the ranking process.

The UGC NET 2024 exam follows specific reservation criteria across various categories. The reservation breakdown is as follows:
Scheduled Caste (SC): 15%
Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5%
Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer (NCL): 27%
Economically Weaker Sections (General-EWS): 10%
Persons with Disabilities (PwD) with 40% or more disability: 5%
UGC NET Result June 2024 Out Shortly: Normalization Process for Multi-Shift Papers
For multi-shift papers, the NTA applies a normalization process to convert raw marks into percentiles, which are referred to as the NTA Score.
