Tourists, business travellers, and others who want to visit the Taj Mahal can now take a luxury bus to Agra from the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) Monday stated while announcing the launch of the service.

DIAL said in a statement that the service will run twice daily in both directions, and has been launched in collaboration with private operator RIGI Trans Tech Pvt Ltd. Travellers can avail of the pre-booked mode of transport between the two cities, it said.

“By offering this seamless connection between two of India’s most significant destinations, we are addressing a crucial need for both domestic and international travellers,” Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, Chief Executive Officer, DIAL, said.

According to the statement, pick-up and drop-off points at Delhi Airport include Terminal 3 Departure Gate 3, Terminal 1 Departure Lane 1 (near Pillars 2 and 3), T3 Bus Arrival Parking, and T1 Arrival Lane 1 near the Shuttle Counter. In Agra, the stop is located at the Bus Lounge in Mayapur on Fatehabad Road.

The tentative daily schedule includes departures from Delhi at 11 am and 11 pm, and from Agra at 5 am and 5 pm. Tickets can be booked online through the Delhi Airport website or offline through the operator in Agra.

The buses are equipped with reclining seats, onboard Wi-Fi, charging ports, individual entertainment systems, a pantry, and toilet facilities. Climate control is available throughout the year.
