IndiGo, Akasa Air to shift flight operations to Delhi airport’s Terminal 1 from Tuesday

Budget airline IndiGo announced that all its flights will now be operated from Terminal 1 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport starting Tuesday. The budget carrier’s flight operations are being moved to Terminal 1 as Terminal 2 is undergoing maintenance.

IndiGo, in a post on X, said passengers are being notified about the reassignment of flights via email, WhatsApp, and their website.

“From April 15, 2025, all #DelhiT2 flights will shift to #DelhiT1 due to maintenance. Expect possible schedule changes. Check terminal info at https://bit.ly/4fdKM3V and flight status at http://bit.ly/2EjJGGT before heading to the airport,” the airline tweeted.

Akasa Air also informed its passengers that all flights to and from Delhi will operate from Terminal 1 of the airport. In a post on X, the airline requested its passengers to plan for additional time to reach the airport.

The changes come alongside the full-scale operationalisation of the newly upgraded Terminal 1 of the Delhi airport.

The airport stated that the upgraded terminal will be fully functional from Tuesday, ensuring “a smarter, more comfortable journey.”

The Delhi Airport also shared in a post on X, “The countdown is getting exciting! In just 2 days, experience a smarter, more comfortable journey at Delhi Airport’s upgraded Terminal 1.”
