Officers are on the lookout for the car driver.

According to officers, the Mongolpuri police station received information about the death of a man in an accident in front of Navjeevan Hospital around 7.45 pm.

The trio stopped their scooter on the flyover after Alok got a video call from his wife; he got off the vehicle to talk to her. Ansh was on the driver’s seat while Abhimanyu was sitting behind.

“During this time, a white car, which we suspect was speeding, collided with their stationary scooter,” said a police officer.

Due to the impact, Ansh was thrown off the flyover and fell from a height of around 15 feet onto the road below. He later died of his injuries.
Police said they are looking for CCTV footage but owing to the number of vehicles passing through the road, the exercise is taking time. A case under relevant sections had been lodged in the case.

Alok and Abhimanyu too sustained injuries, said police. Abhimanyu is preparing for competitive exams and Alok is working in a private company. Ansh was a Class XII pass-out, police said.
