CAT 2024: Last Two Days Preparation Tips

As the CAT 2024 exam is just around the corner, it’s crucial to optimize your preparation in the final two days. Use this time to fine-tune your strengths, focus on high-scoring topics, and refine your time management skills. Here are the essential strategies to help you ace the exam:
Prioritize high-scoring topics: In the final days, focus on high-weightage topics in each section like Arithmetic, Algebra, Reading Comprehension, and Data Interpretation. Quickly review key formulas for Geometry and Mensuration, as these topics are frequently tested and require fast recall during the exam.
Practice reading comprehension online: Simulate the test environment by practicing reading passages on a computer screen. Set a timer and aim to complete each passage in 5-6 minutes, ensuring you’re enhancing both speed and comprehension without compromising on accuracy.
Revise logical reasoning & data interpretation: Prioritize practicing puzzles, seating arrangements, Venn diagrams, and data sets. Work on bar graphs and pie charts under timed conditions to sharpen your analytical skills, which will help you save valuable time during the actual exam.
Mock tests & sectional tests: Take 1-2 full-length mock tests to fine-tune your exam strategy. Afterward, analyze your mistakes and pinpoint areas where you can improve. Avoid overloading with new concepts—focus on consolidating your current knowledge.
Time management practice: Efficiently manage your time by allotting around 40 minutes per section. Use shortcuts and quick estimation techniques, especially in Quantitative Ability, to ensure you can move swiftly through the exam while maintaining accuracy.
Quick vocabulary and grammar review: Focus on revising common grammar mistakes and improving your vocabulary. Practice sentence completion, fill-in-the-blanks, and other grammar-based questions to eliminate errors and boost your confidence.
Stay relaxed and confident: Avoid trying to learn new topics at the last minute. Stick to what you know, and stay calm. Visualize your success to maintain a positive mindset, helping you approach the exam with clarity and confidence.
