War 2 is one of the most eagerly awaited films in YRF‘s expanding spy universe. It will be the sixth installment, following Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3. The post-credit scene of Tiger 3, released last Diwali, teased Hrithik Roshan’s return as Kabir in War 2.
The War sequel, unlike the first film directed by Siddharth Anand, will be helmed by Ayan Mukerji. This highly anticipated follow-up to the 2019 hit is set to release on August 14, 2025, just ahead of India’s Independence Day, adding excitement to the patriotic celebrations.
