WPL Auction 2025: With the stage set in Bengaluru for the WPL Auction 2025 that will be taking place on Sunday, a total of 120 players are set to go under the hammer with 29 overseas players and 91 Indian. And even within this vast list, there are players that could potentially cause a bidding war amongst the five teams in the auction.

Players to look out for:
After being released by UP Warriorz, Lauren Bell could catch the eyes of the teams as the English bowler’s stats are not one to ignore. In her 27 T20I appearances in the middle, she has scalped 35 wickets, bowling with an economy of 6.98, and also brings her share of aggression to the field.

Coming back to the tournament, England captain Heather Knight could turn heads too. She led the Royal Challengers Bengaluru side in 2023, but pulled out of the tournament in 2024 to focus on international cricket. The all-rounder boasts 2121 T20I runs in 112 outings, and also has a century to her name.

Delhi Capitals decided to let go of Indian spinner Poonam Yadav, who’s experience could change games for the teams, and her tight lines could choke the batters’ runs. The 33-year-old leg spinner has 98 wickets to her name in 72 matches, and holds an economy of 5.75.

But the players making the headlines are the 14-year-olds Ira Jadhav and Anshu nagar, who are the youngest players to be registered in this edition of the auction. Ira Jadhav picked the bat up for the first time when she was eight years old, and six years later, she has listed herself in the WPL auction 2025 list.

With all the teams looking to hone their teams to become a title winning side, they will be going for players that would prove to be an X-factor in the game.
