Recently, we came across a video on Instagram that showed a creator repurposing a freshly empty jam bottle to make salad dressing, and the internet thinks it is "genius.""This might be the most clever kitchen hack to date. Don't throw away your freshly empty jam jars. Use them to make a fruity salad dressing for this summer!" the caption read. Keir Starmer Reflects On Labour’s Remarkable Journey To Victory

On the eve of polls opening in the UK general election, Keir Starmer allowed himself a moment to reflect on how far he had come since he became leader of the Labour Party four-and-a-half years ago. "The optimists said it will take 10 years to fix this party and get it back," he told reporters ahead of a final rally in the East Midlands. "The pessimists said you're never going to fix this party, it's never going to be in government again." adding "Here we are." He has now led the Labour Party to victory, on track for the biggest majority in Parliament since at least Tony Blair's New Labour landslide in 1997. The UK's presumptive prime minister has far outperformed the expectations of his chances when he ...

City on Fire: A Memoir of Communal Violence, Resilience and Humanity | India News – Times of India

Excerpts from an interview: Q. Why don't you tell us what City on Fire is about. What sparked off this book?A. City on Fire is a memoir. To understand my story, you'll have to understand where I come from. I come from Aligarh, my home is in the middle of a Hindu ghetto and a Muslim ghetto. I saw a lot of riots and communal violence. So many people had perished in those communal riots, but nothing about them has ever been written. There was no literature about this violence that happened in my locality. This book is my personal history. The spark was possibly the Delhi riots in 2020, they resurfaced my memories. At that point, I had taken a break from my job and I was trying to understand the parallel between the riots in Aligarh and Delhi.Q. How was it to write it in the first person and...
