As Nuh’s pass percentage plummets in state Board exams, parents say crackdown on cheating good for students
“Iss baar baccho aur unke maa baap ko jhatka lagega aur phir yeh log dhyan se padhne lagenge (This time students and their parents will get a shock and take studies seriously),” remarked Piproli village Sarpanch Haneef Khan, as he praised the district administration’s clampdown on cheating during Haryana Board of School Education exams for Class 12, which has visibly affected the pass percentages this year.“If they (students) don’t work hard and study for knowledge, how will it help them shape their future?” he asked.
A resident from Haneef’s village, whose son has failed the exams, said: “We knew he would fail after the police arrested the impersonators during the first exam. We can only advise our son… what else can we do now? His cheating tendency can’t be done away with so fast.”
