Chembur Karnataka College of Law: Mumbai University law students given wrong question paper
Students of Mumbai University (MU)’s five-year BA LLB course were given the wrong question paper during their semester 10 exam on Saturday at Chembur Karnataka College of Law.
Instead of the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam paper under the new syllabus, candidates were given the question paper on ‘Law of Evidence’ from the previous syllabus, creating confusion among students appearing under the new syllabus.
The ‘Law of Evidence in India’ has been replaced by the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam after the implementation of the new laws. Accordingly, MU’s law syllabus has been changed. Fresh students appearing for semester 10 exam were to appear for the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam paper on Saturday. Whereas, repeat students were to appear for the Law of Evidence paper, as per the old syllabus.
