Now, dial 311 to register civic complaints: ‘One Delhi, One number’
All civic complaints in Delhi can now be registered by dialling a unified helpline number, Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh said on Monday. “Our vision is ‘One Delhi, One Number’. Citizens will no longer need to run from department to department to file their complaints — whether it’s waterlogging, broken roads, choked drains, or overflowing sewers — and worry about which department is responsible for their issue. They simply have to dial 311, and the complaint will be redirected to the appropriate department immediately,” he said.
The move aims to end the blame game between different departments amid preparation for the monsoon. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and PWD are among the agencies managing various civic issues in the Capital.
