Rishabh Pant made ‘significant progress’ in rehab; started batting and wicketkeeping in nets, says BCCI

Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant has made “significant progress in his rehabilitation”, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said in a press release on Friday. The wicketkeeper-batter has been out of action since been involved in a horrific car crash on December 30 last year which required him to undergo surgeries on his leg. The BCCI statement also said that Pant had “commenced batting as well as keeping in the nets”. “He (Pant) is currently following a fitness programme designed for him which includes strength, flexibility and running,” BCCI secretary Jay Shah said in the statement.
