Heavyweights Mumbai City FC and ATK Mohun Bagan displayed their full repertoire but had to settle for a 1-1 draw in the Indian Super League here on Thursday. David Williams opened the scoring for ATKMB in the ninth minute but an own goal from Pritam Kotal in the 24th minute restored parity for Mumbai. Bengaluru FC rode on Naorem Roshan Singh’s brilliant strike to end Kerala Blasters’ 10-game unbeaten run and break into the top-four for the first time this season with a 1-0 win in an Indian Super League match here on Sunday. Centre-back Anwar Ali is set for his much-awaited Indian Super League (ISL) debut after signing with FC Goa for the ongoing season. Ali was barred from playing competitive football by the AIFF in 2019 after he was diagnosed with a rare heart condition, Apical Hypercardiomyopathy (HCM). East Bengal’s Antonio Perosevic charged with violent conduct against referee

The All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) disciplinary committee on Tuesday charged SC East Bengal player Antonio Perosevic with “violent conduct against referee” following his red card incident during their ISL match against NorthEast United FC on December 17. The player was show caused by the national federation’s disciplinary body. The game took place at the PJN Stadium in Fatorda. The charge notice issued by the committee states Perosevic was “expelled for using excessive force against referee”. “Perosevic has been reported violating Article 48.1.2 of the AIFF Disciplinary Code,” an ISL media release read.
