The night halt programme was held as per Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s direction to deputy commissioners and superintendents of police earlier this year to spend a night every month in a village in their jurisdiction. During this meeting, they are to hold discussions with villagers about the issues they face. Haryana ministers wanted say in transfers. CM Saini delivers a snub

Gurugram: Barely six weeks after Haryana ministers met Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini seeking powers to transfer employees, the state government has come out with a draft transfer policy that effectively keeps the ministers and MLAs out of this process. The human resources department of the Haryana government Monday notified the draft “Model Online Transfer Policy” for the administrative secretaries of the government and the heads of all departments, inviting their views and suggestions on the draft policy by 28 February. “No employee will canvass for his case except through a representation to the Head of the Department. All other individual representations shall be treated as an attempt to bring extraneous influence on the due process,” reads the policy. Show Full Articl...

Vij takes more swipes at Saini govt: Dig at ‘Haryana CM & friends’, another call for Badoli resignation

Gurugram: Haryana minister for energy, transport and labour Anil Vij has once again launched an attack on his own government led by Nayab Singh Saini and demanded state party chief Mohan Lal Badoli’s resignation over the gang rape allegations against him. On Monday morning, Vij posted a message on X hinting that those close to CM Saini may have supported his opponent in last year’s assembly polls, Chitra Sarwara, an independent candidate who finished second after him at Ambala Cantt. “Ashish Tayal, who claims to be a close friend of Nayab Saini, has numerous pictures with him on Facebook. The same workers who were seen with Ashish Tayal during the assembly elections are also seen with Chitra Sarwara, the rival candidate of the BJP. Haryana minister Anil Vij takes dig at CM Saini—’flying on udan khatola ever since he became CM’

Gurugram: A day after declaring he would skip grievance committee meetings and even go on a hunger strike—similar to the one farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal is on—Haryana minister Anil Vij Friday took a swipe at Chief Minister Nayab Saini. “Ever since Nayab Saini became chief minister, he has been constantly flying in an udan khatola (helicopter). This isn’t just my opinion; it’s the sentiment shared by all MLAs and ministers,” Vij said. Speaking to the media in Ambala Friday, Vij said, “I had submitted a written complaint against those who tried to defeat me in the elections—whether govt officials, employees, or small-time party leaders. It has been 100 days, yet no one has asked me about it, nor has any action been taken.” Show Full Article “I suspected ...
