Gurgaon monsoon prep: 4 underpasses don’t have working pumps, flags civic authority
Ahead of the monsoon season, the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) on Thursday said that it has flagged four underpasses in the city for having inadequate facilities to pump out rainwater.
Issues facing these underpasses came to light after mock drills conducted at 21 underpasses in the city, as part of ongoing flood preparedness measures, came to an end on Wednesday.
The GMDA found that while puthe mping machinery installed at Medanta, Rajiv Chowk, and Sector 84/36B underpasses was not fully operational, the Dhanwapur underpass did not even have a pumping machinery installed.
