Mahmoud Abbas delays Palestinian elections, blames Israel

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas announced late Thursday that elections would only be held when Israel allows voting in annexed east Jerusalem. The two long-standing political rivals, Fatah and Hamas, had reached an agreement to hold legislative elections on May 22 and a presidential vote on July 31.
