Delhi rain: Only small puddles visible at Rajinder Nagar, spot of IAS centre tragedy
As Delhi was put under yellow alert on Saturday following heavy rainfall, one of the keenly watched areas for waterlogging was Old Rajinder Nagar in Central Delhi, where three civil service aspirants drowned in a flooding incident at an IAS coaching centre in July last year.
The July 2024 incident had sparked outrage after several videos surfaced online highlighting the vulnerability of the stretch at Rajinder Nagar, which is lined with several coaching institutes, in the event of heavy rainfall.
When The Indian Express visited the location — a key hub for UPSC and other government exam aspirants — on Friday noon, barring some small puddles, waterlogging was not visible on the roads.
