‘Resist instigation by BJP and fundamentalist orgs’: Mamata meets families of Murshidabad riot victims
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee called for “unity” while addressing her first public meeting in Murshidabad following communal violence, strongly condemning “divisive forces”. During her public meeting, she urged residents to resist “instigation” from the BJP, other political parties, and fundamentalist organisations.“Don’t be swayed by the BJP or any fundamentalist organisation. Instead of dividing yourselves, separate my throat from my body. I will be happy with that,” she declared.
Addressing the public, the Chief Minister said, “One thing I witnessed even when the Babri Masjid was demolished was that there were no riots in Murshidabad.”
