‘Prepare turning track at your own peril’: Alyssa Healy says the ploy will backfire for India
New Australia women’s cricket captain Alyssa Healy has warned India for preparing a spin-friendly track during their upcoming multi-series tour in India. Australia will play one Test, three T20Is and as many ODIs in the tour.
Healy said preparing the rank turners might backfire for India as Asutralia have a really good spin attack.
“I’m actually really intrigued to see what sort of wickets they prepare,” Healy told reporters.
“I think we’ve got a really, really good spin attack, so do that at your own peril.
“Don’t get me wrong, the Indians have got a strong spin attack as well, but we’ve got some of the best leg-spinners in the world. We’ve got Ash Gardner, who took nine wickets on English soil with the ball in hand, so prepare spinning wickets at your own demise.
