Watch: Virat Kohli teases umpire Nitin Menon after a close LBW call went against India

In an interesting conversation between Virat Kohli and umpire Nitin Menon, the former Indian skipper was heard saying, “Mai hota toh out tha,” during Day 5 of the fourth and final Test in Ahmedabad. The incident took place just before the Lunch when R Ashwin bowled the fourth delivery of his 14th over to Travis Head. The batter was hit on the front foot and was a long stride as well. The ball-tracker showed the ball wouldn’t have turned much. And hence it was just clipping the sticks. Head survived a close call. Reacting to the same, Kohli’s response came in Hindi and was directed at the field umpire Menon who smiled and nodded by raising his finger. The video of the clip has gone viral. IND vs AUS: Virat Kohli screams in anger at KS Bharat after India keeper almost costs his wicket

A defiant Virat Kohli hung in to anchor India’s first innings on day four of the fourth test against Australia. Kohli also ended his Test ton drought, scoring his first hundred in whites since 2019. The last hundred Kohli scored was against Bangladesh in the pink ball Test at Eden Gardens in November 2019. Resuming his innings at 59 off 128 on Sunday, Kohli took his time to score the remaining 41 runs. Off 241 deliveries, he only scored five fours in a gritty knock in the first innings. However, that was not before a moment of worry when wicketkeeper-batter KS Bharat turned down Kohli’s call for a quick single in the 109th over. This almost led to Kohli losing his wicket, and the former India captain gave his teammate a stare-down and an angry word of advice. what shashtri said pic.twi...

NEW DELHI: India captain Rohit Sharma on Wednesday shared a glimpse of his mantra for batting on tricky tracks amid unending debate about the pitches of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Rohit also emphasised that there can’t be a one-size-fits-all approach and one needs to find his own way to deal with it.The Indian skipper has been the team's top scorer with 207 runs from three games, including a superb 120 in the opening Test in Nagpur."See, I think when you are playing on these kinds of pitches you have to slightly stay ahead of the bowler as well," Rohit said in response to a query from PTI on the eve of the fourth Test in Ahmedabad."Before he (bowler) does anything, you are ready with what you want to do. It should be that kind of a mindset. I'm just talking about me, not talkin...

India may simulate English conditions in Ahmedabad Test to prepare for WTC Final, hints captain Rohit Sharma

Having already retained the 2023 Border Gavaskar Trophy, India lead 2-0 in the four Test series against Australia and walk into the third in Indore as firm favorites. With that taken into account, it is a ‘possibility’ per Indian captain Rohit Sharma that the hosts try to simulate English conditions in Ahmedabad to prepare for the upcoming World Test Championship final, if they wrap up the series in Indore. “It will be a different ball game (facing Australia in England) for both teams, actually. There is definitely a possibility of that (preparing seaming conditions in Ahmedabad). We have already spoken about it. We need to get the guys ready for it,” Rohit said in the pre-match press conference. The 2021/23 WTC cycle final will be played at The Oval in London from June 7-11, right afte...
