A judge of a court in Delhi received a death threat from two boys in Dwarka’s Kakrola village earlier this month.

As per the First Information Report (FIR) lodged on April 16, the judge alleged that two boys in a Wagon R car stopped their vehicle 10 metres behind him and blew the horn four to five times on April 1.

The FIR further stated that the incident happened when the judge was walking towards a public school from his house at around 6 pm.

“I turned back and looked at the car and those two boys. The non-driver shouted at me, saying, ‘Tu bach kar reh le. Hum goli maar diya karen. Kam bola kar agar jeena chahta hai toh (Beware. We shoot people. Speak less if you want to live)’,” the judge alleged as per the FIR.

After issuing the threat, the judge claimed, the car sped off in a zig-zag manner and then took a sharp turn.

According to the FIR, the judge said he couldn’t see the number plate of the vehicle.

The Delhi Police said they are probing the matter, and analysing CCTV footage from the vicinity of the spot where the judge was threatened.

Recently, a retired government school teacher and his lawyer threatened and hurled abuses at a woman judge inside a courtroom in Delhi after he was convicted in a six-year-old cheque bounce case.

“Tu hai kya cheez… tu bahar mil, dekhte hai kaise zinda ghar jaati hai (You are nothing…come outside, we’ll see how you return home alive),” the retired teacher reportedly told Judge Shivangi Mangla on April 2.

The judge had referred the matter to the National Commission for Women.
